MIR was founded in 1991 by Jana and Jeff Thornton to provide an outlet for a dream. A dream to promote songwriters and give them access to first class sound and a talented staff. Our main goal is to advance the arts, breaking boundaries in support of independent music.
Constantly on the look out for up and coming artists, we seek to reveal and assist relatively unknown songwriters in the struggle for recognition. We celebrate the individual and embrace an "I am not a lemming" approach.

We are a team of dedicated professionals overseeing your project from inception to long after you hold that first CD in your hands. We use a mixture of high end tube, digital and solid state equipment to provide your project with a warm, full, rich quality sound. See Jeff Thornton for more info on recording, mixing and mastering. Jeff is also your "Submissions" contact. We provide studio musicians and engineers to add one track to full album production. For more details on production offerings see Derrell Brown. Jana Thornton provides all the graphics work for MIR and is also available on a contract basis for your own independent releases. |
