Sound engineer Jeff Thornton has produced an unusual album saturated with emotional hills and valleys. Follow Jeff - down Nine Watt Road.

"Jeff Thornton takes his listeners on an acoustic journey on his latest album, " The Shape I'm In." His acoustic jams are made up of cool rhythmic runs with the acoustic guitar, often backed by interesting instrumentation. The songs are mostly instrumental, and deliver a sort of dark and moody side of Jeff's expression. This album does quite nicely in capturing a mood and delivering strong emotion. I also like the different perspective that Jeff delivers to acoustic based rock. The album proves to be a nice starting point for a musician who has a lot to offer the world of acoustic music.". . . . Michael Allison - THEGLOBALMUSE

Produced by Going to the Moon Productions.
Engineered by Jeff Thornton at MIR.

A sonically brilliant collection of songs that is sure to captivate fans of original acoustic music.

A re-definition of the word 'soundgarden' "I guess the term "tone poem" is not original enough to describe this disc. The sound quality is stellar - you will think you got brand new ears when you hear this. A wonderful cure for the same old same old syndrome. Folk nazis beware; explorers & adventurers rejoice!" - Jeff Tweeter Musician / Writer / Engineer

As owner/operator of Maple Island Records, Jeff Thornton has produced and engineered other people's music for almost two decades. Jeff is an artist (creative painter, engineer and extreme expressionist seeker). Music has always been in his life, but his first experimentations on guitar started with playing his son to sleep. (Jorma was born in 1984 - nurturing spark). Mostly self taught, he discovered alternate tunings and drew inspirations and fingerings from other musicians around him. Deep set feelings and consistent rhythms pulse through his being - motivating him with the energy to write, hurling him into the musical air.

"The Shape I'm In" marks the debut - the beginning of his entry into that world - a musical realm - a personal journey. Relevant and connective, these hypnotic rhythms weave and persevere in a search for understanding and meaning.
